The Pitcher

There once was a man who loved baseball,

A pitcher with a heart so true.

No one else could match his passion,

For the game he loved to do.

With every pitch he threw,

His love for the game shone brightly.

The crack of the bat, the roar of the crowd,

Brought him endless delight.

He cherished the team spirit,

The mateship, the camaraderie too.

For baseball was more than a game,

It was a bond between the few.

With each and every win,

He felt his heart beat with pride.

For his love for the game was fierce,

And nothing could steal his pride.

So, here's to the man who loved baseball,

Whose passion burned bright and true.

May his love for the game inspire us all,

And live on within me and you.
